In another sign that Ohio State continues to set the gold standard in college football, the university announced a major addition to Ohio Stadium’s south end zone beginning in 2026. This expansion reflects a commitment not only to maintaining the ’Shoe’s storied legacy but also to enhancing the fan experience in a way that only the Buckeyes can.

The new project includes the construction of nine elevated, field-level suites with a 12-person capacity each, along with 400 premium chairback seats perched on top. These chairbacks will be the widest in the stadium, offering a level of comfort befitting the most loyal members of Buckeye Nation. Athletic Director Ross Bjork described the new additions as an investment in fan satisfaction, aimed at improving access, variety, and atmosphere inside one of college football’s most iconic venues.

In true Ohio State fashion, this upgrade isn’t just about luxury—it’s about legacy. The field-level suites will resemble those found in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the Buckeyes secured the 2024 national championship in dominant fashion. That title run included hard-fought wins over Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, and finally Notre Dame, cementing Ohio State’s place at the top of the sport. Now, fans can experience that same championship ambiance right in Columbus, just steps from the action.

Purchasing one of the 400 premium seats—priced at $6,000 for the season—not only provides top-tier comfort but also includes access to the all-new 1922 Club. This exclusive space offers all-inclusive food and drinks before, during, and after the game. Deposits are being accepted now, with a deadline of June 27 to secure inaugural membership status. Suite sales will begin at a later date and will also include full access to the 1922 Club.

With this change comes a bit of tradition relocation: The Ohio State Marching Band will move to the north end zone in 2025, returning to sections 3AA and 5AA—its original home prior to the 2001 renovations. While it’s a change in scenery, TBDBITL’s impact on game day will remain just as powerful.

While other programs across the country are caught in scandals and uncertainty, Ohio State continues to build—on the field, off the field, and in the hearts of its fans. This south end zone upgrade isn’t just a nod to modern expectations; it’s another sign that in Columbus, excellence isn’t a goal—it’s the baseline.
