The highly anticipated showdown known as “The Game” between Ohio State and Michigan has been officially scheduled for a noon kickoff on FOX. It’s no surprise that FOX, with its top pick in the Big Ten game draft, chose this iconic rivalry clash for its broadcast.
This year’s matchup carries added significance as Ohio State aims to break its three-game losing streak against Michigan and secure its first victory over the Wolverines since 2019. The Buckeyes will be eager to claim a home victory, especially after the cancellation of the 2020 game scheduled at Ohio Stadium.
Since 2017, FOX has been the primary media rights partner for the Big Ten, consistently televising the Ohio State vs. Michigan matchup. It’s no wonder why this game draws massive viewership, with over 19 million tuning in for the 2023 edition, marking it as the most-watched regular-season college football game since 2011.
Traditionally, kickoff for every Ohio State vs. Michigan game since 2007 has been at noon. The lone exception was the legendary 2006 matchup, dubbed the “Game of the Century,” which was moved to a 3:30 p.m. kickoff by ABC.
While kickoff times for Ohio State’s other games in the 2024 season have yet to be announced, fans can mark their calendars for this exciting clash between two college football powerhouses.
