Tuesday’s Ohio State recruiting camp focused on quarterbacks and wide receivers. Five-star 2025 quarterback Tavien St. Clair attended the camp for the second time this summer, looking every bit like a future star. St. Clair stood out as the most polished and accurate quarterback. St. Clair is scheduled to compete in the Elite 11 Finals next week.
Other standout prospects included five-star 2026 quarterback Dia Bell, who impressed with his arm talent and accuracy while working with coaches Chip Kelly and Ryan Day. Bell has visited Columbus frequently, showing why OSU is interested in the Florida quarterback. California 2026 prospect Brady Palmer also caught attention with his deep ball accuracy, despite already holding an OSU offer. Neimann Lawrence, who hasn’t played high school football yet, received a scholarship offer from OSU, making him the first quarterback and the second overall prospect offered in the 2028 class. Lawrence shared his excitement about the offer and praised the opportunity to compete with top players like Bell and St. Clair.
“Getting the offer was great. I had the mindset to come out there and compete with some of the best guys, like Dia Bell and Tavien St. Clair. (Coach Day) told me that I have a lot of potential and that I’m only a rising freshman but there were a lot of good things that caught his attention. Honestly, it’s a big deal (to get an offer as a freshman), I can see just from the views and things like that from the past two hours. It’s truly a blessing.”

Eric McFarland, a wide receiver from Florida, was OSU’s first recruit offered in the 2028 cycle. He showed exceptional speed, athleticism, and route-running skills. Recruiting services have yet to rank 2028 prospects, but McFarland is expected to be a top-five recruit nationally. Four-star 2026 wide receiver Brody Keefe, from North Carolina, returned to OSU’s camp after earning an offer last year. Keefe felt more comfortable this year, despite nursing a pulled hamstring, and valued the individual work he received. Ohio State and Tennessee remain his top choices, with a decision expected next summer.
On Tuesday, Hartline also offered two other 2026 wide receivers, Brayden Robinson and Mike Brown. Robinson, a four-star prospect from Texas, has nearly 35 Division I offers and expressed his excitement about the opportunity to play for OSU. Brown, also from Texas, holds nearly 30 Division I offers and plans to choose between Ohio State, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, and Houston within the next month. Brown highlighted OSU’s success in developing NFL receivers as a key factor in his interest.
Michigan 2027 prospect Dakota Guerrant earned an offer from OSU after working out with coaches Hartline and Tim Walton, showing potential to play either wide receiver or cornerback. Guerrant already has over 20 offers, including from Michigan and Notre Dame. Keenan Bailey offered 2027 tight end D’Angelo White, a teammate of top running back recruit Bo Jackson. White, with his impressive frame and skills, now has 10 offers, including from Cincinnati and West Virginia.
2026 cornerback Camdin Portis, son of former NFL running back Clinton Portis, also received an offer from OSU. Portis has nearly 20 Division I offers, including from Miami and Penn State. Lastly, Washington 2027 linebacker Liufau Loumoli earned an offer from OSU after impressing James Laurinaitis, adding to his 16 Division I offers, which include Michigan and USC.
