Ohio State is gearing up for a pivotal stretch in the second half of its season with back-to-back Big Noon games on FOX.
The Buckeyes will first face Nebraska this Saturday in a noon kickoff, followed by another noon game the next week when they travel to Happy Valley to take on Penn State on November 2. The Penn State game was officially announced as a Big Noon matchup, marking Ohio State’s fourth noon kickoff on FOX this season. While Ohio State had just one noon FOX game in the first half of the season (against Marshall), the second half is packed with high-profile matchups at noon, including this week’s game against Nebraska, next week’s showdown with Penn State, and the season finale against Michigan.
Next week’s game against the Nittany Lions is shaping up to be a top-five clash. Currently, Penn State is ranked third and Ohio State is fourth in the polls, setting the stage for a major Big Ten battle—assuming both teams take care of business this weekend, with Ohio State playing Nebraska and Penn State facing Wisconsin. If both win, it will be the fourth top-five game of the 2024 season, following Alabama’s win over Georgia, Oregon’s victory over Ohio State, and Georgia’s recent win over Texas.
For Ohio State fans, the excitement goes beyond just the game. FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show will be live in Columbus this weekend for the Buckeyes’ matchup against Nebraska. It’s a special occasion, as Ohio State will honor the 10th anniversary of its 2014 national championship team, bringing Urban Meyer back to campus for the celebration. Big Noon Kickoff begins airing live on FOX at 10 a.m.
