Aidan Sayin, older brother of Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin, has officially signed with the Columbus Aviators of the United Football League, bringing another Sayin to the city of Columbus. A standout quarterback at the University of Pennsylvania, Aidan started 31 games from 2021-2024, completing a school-record 719 passes on 1,151 attempts for 7,177 yards while throwing 45 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. At 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, Sayin earned two honorable mention All-Ivy selections and consistently broke records throughout his college career, including the program’s career completions record and setting single-season completion milestones.

His arrival in Columbus comes as the Aviators adjust their quarterback room following Clayton Tune’s departure to an NFL futures contract. Sayin joins former Baylor quarterback Jalan McClendon, projected to start, and former Prairie View A&M quarterback Jalen Morton. The team kicks off its inaugural UFL season on Sunday, March 29, with a road game against the Orlando Storm, and will host its first home game at Historic Crew Stadium on Friday, April 3, against the DC Defenders.

Aidan’s collegiate accomplishments were remarkable. He finished his Penn career on pace to become the school’s all-time passing touchdown leader and passing yards leader, surpassing longstanding records held by Alek Torgersen and Gavin Hoffman. His consistent production over four seasons cemented his place as one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in program history, making his transition to professional football in Columbus a highly anticipated step.

With Julian entering his second season as Ohio State’s starting quarterback, the Sayin family now has a unique presence in Columbus football, bridging collegiate achievement and professional opportunity in the same city. Aidan’s addition to the Aviators not only strengthens the team’s quarterback depth but also adds an exciting narrative for local fans, as one brother continues to make waves at Ohio State while the other embarks on his professional journey.
