My Ohio State Story
I grew up a Buckeye fan and have been a fan as long as I can remember. As a child I enjoyed playing football, but unlike most kids I did not pretend to be Joe Montana throwing the winning pass in the Super Bowl, I envisioned myself as Mike Tomczak leading the Buckeyes down field in the waning minutes of the Fiesta Bowl to defeat Pitt. As I got older, my fandom continued to grow. I was able to witness so many great moments, players, teams – some who exceeded expectations, others who failed to live up to expectations, but all of them provided special moments to strengthen the bond of fandom with the university. In 2010, I became a student at The Ohio State University, and I graduated in 2015. During that time, I began to attend games regularly, and I can honestly say there is nothing like an autumn Saturday in Columbus, Ohio!
My OHIO Podcast Story
I was not a big podcast guy when I first started. I grew up listening to sports radio and watching ESPN, but never really gave much thought to podcasts. The first podcast I ever listened to was The OHIO Podcast. I listened to the show for the first time just prior to Eric and Aaron coming to our store for a live remote. I joined the show for a few guest spots, and then when Sgt. MVP was called to active duty in 2020, I had the privilege of becoming a full-time member of the show. It has been a thrilling experience seeing this show go from an audio format with a small following to where we are today. I am very eager to see what the future holds for The OHIO Podcast.
