The Ohio State men’s tennis team has once again asserted its dominance in the Big Ten, claiming at least a share of the conference’s regular season title for the 19th consecutive year. In a commanding performance on Sunday, the Buckeyes swept Northwestern 4-0, showcasing the level of excellence that has come to define the program.
From the opening serve, Ohio State controlled the match with precision and intensity. The Buckeyes secured the doubles point convincingly, as all three pairs outplayed their Northwestern counterparts. That momentum carried over into singles play, where Ohio State clinched victories in three matches to seal the sweep. Even in the remaining singles contests that went unfinished, the Buckeyes were leading, further underscoring the team’s depth and consistency.
With this win, Ohio State improved to an impressive 22-2 overall and a flawless 11-0 in Big Ten play. The team now sets its sights on closing out the regular season undefeated as it prepares to host Indiana and Purdue this coming weekend.
