Colin White, the standout small forward from Ottawa-Glandorf High School, has been crowned the 2024 Ohio Mr. Basketball by the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious high school career.
White’s accolade comes as no surprise to basketball enthusiasts, given his remarkable contributions to the Titans’ success throughout his four-year tenure. A pivotal figure in Ottawa-Glandorf’s journey to the OHSAA state tournament each year, White has consistently showcased his talent and leadership on the court.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound athlete boasts an impressive stat line, averaging 24.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game. Such stellar performances have solidified White’s reputation as one of Ohio’s top basketball prospects in the class of 2024.
Despite being labeled a 3-star recruit and ranked 184 nationally by the 247Sports composite rankings, White’s impact transcends numerical ratings. His dynamic style of play and unwavering dedication have earned him recognition as the 7th highest-ranked recruit in Ohio.
With a remarkable total of 1,995 points scored during his high school career, White’s offensive prowess has left a lasting impression on the Titans’ record books. Moreover, his defensive tenacity has made him a formidable force on both ends of the court.
Notably, White’s achievement as Ohio Mr. Basketball marks the 14th time in the award’s 37-year history that an Ohio State recruit has claimed the title.
