Streetsboro’s own, Mike Hall, is sticking close to home. The Cleveland Browns picked him at No. 54 overall in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft, making him the second Buckeye chosen this year.

The last time a defensive tackle from Ohio State got the call was Tommy Togiai back in 2021, also by the Browns. Mike joins a small but proud group of Buckeyes on the Browns’ roster, including Dawand Jones, Luke Wypler, Denzel Ward, and Ronnie Hickman.

In this year’s draft, Mike was the eighth defensive tackle chosen. His stock rose after a standout performance at the Senior Bowl and a lightning-fast 40-yard dash time at Ohio State’s pro day.

Despite battling injuries in recent seasons, Mike still showed his playmaking skills, earning All-Big Ten honors in 2023. He decided to go pro to support his son, born just before OSU’s game against Western Kentucky last season.

Now, Mike’s ready to make his mark in Cleveland, bringing his athleticism and talent to the Browns’ defensive line rotation.
