Sunday’s Under Armour Next Camp in Canton was a busy day for both Ohio State players and those hoping to join the team in the future. Even though there weren’t as many Ohio State-related players as in previous years, there were still lots of great moments from players connected to the team.
Eli Lee, a three-star linebacker committed to Ohio State, stood out at the camp. He was named the best linebacker by the camp staff. Lee did well in different drills and showed off his skills. He’s from Akron and was happy with how he performed.
Another standout was Justin Hill, a four-star linebacker/edge rusher from the Winton Woods area. In one-on-one drills, he impressed everyone by knocking down Owen Strebig, a four-star offensive lineman committed to Notre Dame. Hill did great in other drills too and showed he was one of the best players there.
Talyn Taylor, a player Ohio State is interested in, also had some impressive moments. He’s a tall receiver and said he’ll visit Ohio State officially in the summer.
Bo Jackson, a top running back prospect Ohio State is watching, was there too, but he only did some drills. After the camp, he talked about the new running backs coach Carlos Locklyn. Jackson is a top priority for Locklyn and the offensive coaching staff.
Even Ohio State’s head coach, Ryan Day, was in attendance not only to watch Ohio’s top high school talent, but because his son RJ was there as a quarterback. RJ is also a talented player with offers from Boston College and Marshall.
