The kickoff times and TV networks are confirmed for Ohio State’s first two games of the 2024 football season.

The Buckeyes will start their season against Akron at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. Their second game, against Western Michigan, will be a night game, starting at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network on September 7.

Additionally, the Big Ten announced that Ohio State’s home game against Nebraska on October 26 will start at either noon, 3:30 p.m., or 7:30 p.m. The Buckeyes’ game at Wrigley Field against Northwestern on November 16 will begin at either noon or 3:30 p.m. TV networks for these games will be decided later.

The season finale against Michigan has been set for a noon kickoff on FOX. The remaining games of Ohio State’s 2024 season will have their kickoff times determined during the season.

Ohio State has an all-time record of 8-1 against Akron, with the only loss occurring in 1894. Since then, the Buckeyes have won five straight games against Akron, including a 59-7 victory in 2021. The Buckeyes haven’t lost to another Ohio team since 1921, when they were defeated by Oberlin.

Ohio State won their only previous game against Western Michigan, 38-12, in 2015 under coach Urban Meyer.

Tickets for the games against Akron and Western Michigan are available as part of a five-game flex pass for $289. This pass also includes tickets for home games against Marshall, Purdue, and Indiana. Single-game tickets for Ohio State’s eight home games will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. on June 21.
