As Ohio State wraps up its non-conference schedule with a noon showdown against Marshall, the Buckeyes are set to host several intriguing recruits at Ohio Stadium. While the matchup might not be the most exciting on paper, it’s still a significant weekend for recruiting, as some of the program’s top targets and current commits are making the trip to Columbus.

Among the most notable visitors are 2025 commits Nate Roberts and Jarquez Carter. This will be Carter’s first game visit of the season, and it’s an important one. Despite his commitment to Ohio State, Carter is still being pursued by other schools, particularly Florida, the team he grew up rooting for. This weekend gives Carter and defensive line coach Larry Johnson a chance to reconnect, potentially strengthening Carter’s commitment as the Gators struggle on the field.

In the 2025 class, Ohio three-star defensive end Chaz Coleman will also be in attendance. Coleman has seen his recruitment heat up recently, with interest from schools like Ole Miss, Penn State, and Michigan State. Ohio State could extend him an offer if things go well this weekend. Another recruit on “offer watch” is 2026 four-star linebacker Cincere Johnson, who has built a strong relationship with Buckeyes’ linebackers coach James Laurinaitis.

Other top 2026 visitors include Ohio four-star cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon, making his second visit of the season, and New York three-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton, who will take an unofficial visit. The Buckeyes will also host New Jersey brothers Amari and Xavier Sabb, both highly touted 2026 and 2027 prospects, respectively. Their older brother, Keon Sabb, played for Michigan before transferring to Alabama, adding extra intrigue to their visit.

Local linebacker CJ Sanna from Olentangy High School will also be in the stands. Sanna, a 2026 recruit, holds offers from Iowa State, Liberty, and Toledo. Meanwhile, five-star 2027 wide receiver/defensive back Dakota Guerrant, a Michigan legacy, will make his third visit to Ohio State. Guerrant, recruited by both Brian Hartline and Tim Walton, is being pursued for his talents on both sides of the ball.

Looking ahead, the Buckeyes received good news with five-star 2026 running back Savion Hiter, the top back in his class, scheduling a November visit for the Purdue game. Ohio State is in Hiter’s top five, along with Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, and Georgia.

The Buckeyes also made the cut for four-star 2026 cornerback Victor Singleton, who released his top 10 schools this week, with Ohio State standing out as a major contender. Singleton, who grew up a Buckeyes fan, has developed a strong relationship with Tim Walton, and his frequent visits to Columbus suggest Ohio State will be a key player in his recruitment.

Lastly, five-star 2025 cornerback Devin Sanchez reaffirmed his commitment to Ohio State this week. Sanchez, who has locked down his recruitment, has been a vocal peer recruiter for the Buckeyes, alongside quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair.
