Ohio State has strengthened its recruiting department with the addition of Morgan Phillips, a seasoned professional with a strong background in college football recruitment. Phillips, who has an impressive resume, steps into the role previously held by Erin Dunston, who departed for Michigan in June. Morgan Phillips brings a wealth of experience to Ohio State. An Alabama graduate, Phillips began her career in recruiting as an operations intern with Alabama Football in 2021, working closely with Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide. Her talent and dedication quickly became evident, leading her to a position as the Recruiting Operations Coordinator at LSU in August 2023. During her time at LSU, Phillips played a key role in helping the Tigers secure the ninth-ranked recruiting class of 2024, and LSU is already on track to land another top-tier class in 2025.
Ohio State’s decision to hire Phillips is significant, particularly given her connections to Alabama’s renowned recruiting machine. She becomes the second former member of Saban’s staff to join the Buckeyes this offseason, following Sam Petitto, who was appointed as Ohio State’s new director of player personnel in February.
